When it comes to research, it is often thought that there is very little research done in the world of alternative care. This is far from reality. Actually, the very first double blind studies that were ever conducted in North America were homeopathic studies, in 1880. In addition, extensive research on vitamins was already in the works in the 1950s, and it has expanded since to all spheres of alternative care such that today, in addition to the numerous well-researched books now available on the market, there are many journals on which the naturopath can rely to keep updated with the latest research. Following are just a few examples:
